ARG!!

I'm really annoy at my mom. She cut Sam and Max's hair even though I told her not to do so!!
She was complaining about how long their hair are. I did tell her that we like their hair long and I'll take them to get it trim if the hair gets to their eyes.
I left Max with her yesterday morning while I dropped Josh at school and Sam at pre-school. I normally take him with me but he was sick so I decided it was better for him to stay home resting and I won't be long. I came home and noticed that his hair was much shorter and not even!! I was so upset and mentioned it to her how bad it was. Then she said don't complain if you want it perfect, do it yourself. I said back to her, I won't do it because I know it will come out bad and he DOESN'T need the hair cut!

Fast forward to early evening, I was giving Sam and Max a bath and I took Max out first because Sam still wanted to play with his bath toys. I asked my mom to hang out with Sam in the bathroom while I was getting Max ready to bed. While I was getting max ready, I heard Sam's screaming and freaking out. He was yelling and screaming "no Ama(it means grandma), no" to my mom. I went in I saw my mom was trying to cut his hair with the comb with build in blade(you know, the one that you using for layering the hair). I was pissed so it's Sam. He told my mom to get out the bathroom and don't cut his hair. "NO Cut Sam's hair, Ama. NO"
Apparently, she didn't get much of his hair. Still I could see the different. By the way, she got the comb from my aunt. She borrowed it while she stayed with them.

Sam and Max still sick. They both seem to get worse. Max is the worst one. He's also teething pretty bad on top of having a cold. Poor guy! He didn't take his afternoon nap yesterday so he was super grumpy. Somehow I got some good pictures of him before I tried to put him down for a nap. Can you see the different of his hair?

Tuesday

My weekend was great. We didn't go anywhere. It was so nice to be home. Even though Sam and Max got sick. It started with Sam and passed it on to Max. They just have a cold.

On Saturday my aunt Lek, my uncle Minh, my niece April and Jan came over for lunch. My mom made Thai Suki Yaki. It was DELICIOUS!! I ate so much and got a stomach ache afterward but it was worth it. =) Then my mom went to stay at their house the rest of the weekend. Give us some family times.

Later at night I gave Steve a permission to blog on my blog. I told him that he can help me blogging and he can blog anything he want while I was in the shower. As you saw he was blogging about me. You are so sweet, honey. I love you so much too.

On Sunday the weather was so bad. It was so cold and foggy. We stayed home all day except in the afternoon we took the kids to dinner at Rain forest Cafe at fisherman wharf. It was fun especially Sam. He was so excited to see all the fishes in the tanks and amazed by the animal's sound. I forgot to bring the camera so no pictures to share. =( By the way today it was Golden Gate bridge 50th anniversary.

And yesterday the weather was nice and sunny so we went to Golden Gate park had a picnic and walked around a bit. We had our lunch at the playground after lunch we walked to rose garden and then went to see a big pink head.

What a great weekend we had!!!

Thai Suki yaki: It's a hot pot. You cook meat, seafood and vegetable in the hot broth. Then you dip it in the sauce. The sauce makes from Thai Sriracha hot sauce, garlic, thai chile, pickle garlic, oster sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, cilantro and lime.

Update on PT

Max and my mom at Dim Sum restaurant.

Sam is doing much better. He'll tell me when he needs to go. Sometime he is not going for awhile I'll ask him to sit on and try it. He is so proud of himself when he goes. We have the potty seat from the baby bjorn(the one that puts on the real toilet seat) and Sam loves the idea of flushing the toilet he think it's fun thing to do.

The only problem we have is he won't do the #2 on the potty. He will sit for long time, holds it and will not go. Then when he pulls the underwear up, he goes in the underwear. Sorry it's TMI. I guess it takes a bit longer to PT for #2. I'm very happy with the result so far. It's been only 4 days and he did a great job.

PT day2

What a nightmare! PT isn't going so well today. Sam got #2 accident in the morning. It was so painful to clean it. He didn't really want to sit in the potty after that. Then later on at nap time he refused to take a nap for some reasons. He was so over tired and started to loose it. Luckily Max is such a good boy today. Otherwise I don't know what to do.
We didn't really do anythings this weekend. Steve had to work all day today. Hopefully we'll do some fun for the kids next weekend.

PT day1

I knew for awhile that Sam is ready for PT but I'm so scare to do it. Somehow I did start it today. He did make it to the potty twice and got a little piece of chocolate for reward. He had 3 times that he didn't make it. I think he did great for a first day. We'll see what's going on tomorrow.

Any advice??

I post some pictures of Max sucking on his blanket. I think it's kind of cute and I want to share them. He LOVES his blanket. I don't think he can go to sleep without the blanket!

Roseola?

Started Sunday night Max had a fever between 100-103 degrees and it had been bother him for 3 days. Now the fever is gone but this morning I noticed some rash all around his chest and trunk area. I suspect that he may has Roseola. I sort of remember when Sam had it when he was 10-11 months old. It's nothing I can do just like a cold. It eventually will go away by it's own. It is contagious but once he has had it, he'll have immunity to it.

I love my mom very much but sometime she just so aggravating. I know she loves me so much that the reason why she is who she is. She can go on and on how I should live my life and take care of the kids. I think she just forgets how the life here is different from Thailand.

Monday

Hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I had the worst one this year but I don't want to go on to the detail. Thank you for my lovely husband, Steve who tried to save my day. I'm very thankful to spend my day with my children, my husband and my mom. Steve got me a beautiful bouquet, Sam painted a flower pot and Josh, he is so sweet. He wrote me a letter as a mother's day gift. This is what he wrote.

Life's been busy lately, I guess since my mom showed up. We had a great birthday with Max. He really enjoyed it. I think he knew it was his birthday day. He also had a one year check up on that day. Now he is 21lbs 14oz and 30 inches.

On Saturday we went to see Thomas at Day out with Thomas in Sacramento. Sam had so much FUN. He was so excited to ride on the real Thomas train. We brought the camera but I forgot the memory card(still in the computer after I uploaded Max's birthday pictures). We bought one picture with the Thomas train from there. I'm trying to figure it out how to scan and post it.

Busy ..Busy...Busy

Max's birthday and Max's 1 year check up is tomorrow. Also it looks like my mom will make the flight and will be here tomorrow.

Me, I'm running around like crazy!! There are couple things need to be done.
Cleanning the house, get the car wash and get something small for Max. He doesn't need any more toys. I'm also making montage at One true Media for Max as well. It's almost done. It looks pretty good. I'll post it tomorrow.

Halloween already??

No.....Sam found his Elmo costume from last year and wanted it on. He's such a funny boy...LOL

The weather is super nice this weekend. It's too bad Steve has to work today and he will be there pretty late. That sucks!!

The boys and I went to check out the playground close by. The closest one is about 4 blocks away from our house. It's in the Golden Gate park. The playground was OK, it's more for older kids. Max couldn't really play anything but a swing. Sam and Josh didn't seem to care much about but it was so good to walk around the park a bit.

School Carnival

Josh had a school carnival today. It was a very small carnival but a lot of fun. It's raising money for art and science programs at school. Josh and Sam were really enjoying the carnival. They did the cake walk but didn't win any cakes. That's good because we don't really need more sweets. Then they were playing at the game booths. It's a great way to help the school.

I end up went to visit Aod and the baby yesterday. =) Matty is so cute. He weighs 8lbs and has full head of black hair. I brought my camera but I forgot to take any pictures. I was too excited, I guess. =0

Sam really like Matty. I think Max got a bit jealous when I paid too much attention to Matty. He started crying and wanted me to hold him.

Welcome to the world!

A very good friend of mine, Aod went to the labor last night. She was laboring all night and just had a healthy baby boy, Matty around noon. Congrats!! I don't know the detail much. I talked to her a bit right after the birth. Matty is about 8 lbs and has nice big cheeks. I'll post some pictures tomorrow after I go visit her and the baby.

Now I want more kids!

Great news from Bangkok

My mom called me last night and told me that she is coming to visit us next week! Yay! I'm so excited. Last time she was here when I gave birth to Max. It's about a year ago. By the way, it's reminding me that Max's 1st birthday's coming up. Geez!! I can't believe it. It's been a year already???

It would be great if my mom can make it by Max's birthday(May 9). She will fly standby and so far the Tuesday's flight is looking good. It's so sad that my dad can't make it. He hasn't met Max yet. Too much going on with works, like always.
