Thai Temple

Sam in the pray room.In front the temple

On Sunday we went to Thai Temple in Berkeley(Wat Mongkolratanaram). It's been awhile since last time we were there. It was before Sam was born. Shame on me. I guess because we had a big problem with Josh's mom and grandmother last time we went there. They are Christian and very religious. They freaked out when Josh told them how he was enjoyed going to the temple. They don't want us to take Josh there. I didn't want to stir up or argue about it so....
Well the reason we went there because I want to get Sam and Max to learn to speak Thai. I know that they have Thai classes but I didn't know what age group when they can start. Five is the youngest. We have few years to go.

Also every Sunday at the temple, Thai people go there and make food for sell to raise money for the temple. The Temple is well known around bay area for good authentic Thai food and lot of people show up. Check the temple link if you want more photos and info. We also really enjoyed the food our self especially..... me!
I also got to pray in the temple. I'm glad that we went. I'll try to go there more often.

That is so nice! I haven't been to a Thai Temple, but have seen many pictures when my dad visited Thailand. Okay - now I'm craving some Thai food!!!!!!

You have the right to take your kids to temple if you want. Just don't tell anyone that might give you grief about it.

I've always wanted to learn to speak Thai, but there aren't a lot of books or CDs or anything to learn from.

The temple looks beautiful! And I love Thai food! hehe

I love Thai food too, and miss it! Any recommendations on good entrees that don't contain dairy, soy or eggs?

That is so pretty! Do you speak Thai at home to them? Can you speak Thai?
Well, I think it is important for them to learn about their Thai side, so shame on their Grandma for being so upset!
